Who Qualifies For The Bursary Or College Student Loan From NSFAS?
The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has officially opened the 2025 application process.
Applications at the moment are open and will shut on fifteen December 2024.
*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding
To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant must fulfill the following criteria:
• Be considered a South African citizen or copyright who originates from a house using a combined gross household income that doesn't exceed R350 000 for every annum.
• Individuals with disabilities qualify if their combined house cash flow would not exceed R600 000 per annum.
• SASSA recipients automatically qualify for funding and wish not post any evidence of earnings.
*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle
The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open up to all South African citizens and permanent inhabitants from households with combined R350 000 and R600 000 for every annum.
Applicants are reminded to deliver the right Identity Doc numbers, names, and surname, as mirrored of their South African ID.
NSFAS only funds individuals who are researching or intend to research in a public university or TVET college in South Africa.
All students who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and check here not to wait until the last day.
Learners do not have to wait for matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
